    looks good i thought about doing that to mine but with the blue metalcast paint stuff how long did all the prep work take to get them ready to paint and where did you get all the hardware to replace the factory stuff

      looks to me like you have replaced that carb with a #3 or #1, since those holes are not used for anything on the #4 carb.

      Or, if I misunderstood the question, and you are asking what the copper plugs originally were.....the cover of a snap???

      but probably neither is the case

            My question is why? just to keep dirt, etc from getting in there? or for aesthetics?

                So Randy, are those lock washers on the bowls needed? I have new screws but no washers and the old ones don't seem to come off the original screws.

                    I don't know if the lockwashers are actually required, but the originals had them, so...
