Actually Salina is just off I 70 and we'll be there Thursday night. There will be other 11s. Scott is going to be on his XJ if he makes it past Beaver.

This rally seems to be taking off a bit.

Looking forward to seeing you my friend.

      Go west young men ..

Hey Jeff , thanks for the updates on your adventure to the rally,I'm glad it is going well for you besides the rain.
The Days inn in Mc cook Ne, is prob the best of the three hotels there. as you go west from there you will pass a few little towns ...Benkleman is the last one before you head into Colorado, More little towns along the way and the speed limits drop to crawling speed through them, be careful !! I know all about them as I visit my daughter near Mc cook Ne.from time to time, Have a safe and fun journey, I hope to see you NEXT year !
Btw it was 109 degrees in McCook today !!!!

          Cleaning and Packing

Greg, Beaver, Utah, is not on the trip plan this time.

Mike's meeting Roo and me in Barstow around 'noon tomorrow, Roo's riding his bobber.

After Barstow, Mike made reservations so we're shooting for Mesquite and a casino and a pool and....

On Thursday we head toward Grand Junction to Motoman and Motowoman's place to see Ella.

              Hitchhikers

Picked up a couple of hitchhikers this morning.
though never know how it will turn out. Cracked skull with wallet, cell phone and camera missing , or groggy with missing kidney.

Both in Clarinda Iowa. One at the motel (a 1/2" grasshopper ) and going through town picked up a yellow ladybug. Not sure if they were working as a team.

They both rode with me all the way to Nebraska. Hopper started out on the speedo. Was sitting on the 115mph mark so I suspected he wanted speed. Once rolling he walked up dead center on the dash. Turned facing the open road and just enjoyed the scenery. Bug was on the windscreen. Sat at the very top. Dead center like her buddy Hopper.

Was odd but after a long time and many miles Hopper turned (still dead center on top of the dash) and started staring at me. Made me nervous. Those Hopper eyes staring at me. Really tough to drive with somebody staring at you.

I guess they enjoyed the lift though once we got into Nebraska they jumped off without saying a word. Maybe they were just travelers or maybe wanted by the law. I'll never know.
It FUN to ride. Scenery and wildflowers really beautiful. Now having a coffee in Nebraska.

              Jeff

Sounds more like Bug and Hopper left once they figured out you weren't gonna' share the 'lounge' chair.

The bobber? Holy balls, Roo is at it again.... He is one of a kind!

I rode that thing at the Durango Rally in 2011, he made that bike custom for his size and his size only. I swear it could be torture rack.

Loaded up and about to hit the highway for Salina, Kansas to meet up with Harry and Rich this evening.

I would post some pics but I'm not gonna mess with photobucket and I have nothing else set up. Look on facebook.

Bout 11:30a.m. the 'three amigos'(Scott, Roo, Mike) were leaving Mesquite,NV. which is approx. 100mi. east of Las Vegas close to NV./Utah border. So I figure with some 400mi. to go, it'll be 'dark-thirty' or so when they get to my place. Sounded like from what Scott said that all three scoots were runnin' just fine!

Thanks for the update. Let us know when they arrive at your place. (I see its 105 in St George with 13% Humidity. Gotta love that 'dry heat')
Same for the Wichita bunch. Somebody check-in and let us know were you are ALL there AOK.

I made it to Fort Collins. Looking out my window at the Rocky Mountains and having a coffee. this is good!

Ride in from McCook was very good. Had a tail wind and it never got over 82 degrees. Really a perfect ride with the sun at my back. Picked up an hour in western Nebraska from CDT to MDT. So all is good.

Rode US34 to Fort Morgan then up CO52 to Pawnee National Grasslands then CO14 into Fort Collins. Will try and post a few pictures next.
