Friday November 18th was an exceptional day for weather in southwestern Ontario. Looking at the forcast during the week, I was debating playing hooky from work. Instead, I rode the bike to work for only the second time, just to ensure to get a few last miles in for the season on this rare day.
It was glorious.
I was not alone out there, while the roads were becoming absent of our two wheeled friends in recent weeks, many bikes populated the highways that day. My XS11 found a friend in the bike corral to spend most of the day with.
But the end of the day came, and it was time to go home.
Shadows were long with the day getting near the shortest of the year. I kept my cool on the throttle, within 20km of limit and the OPP will usually leave you alone. Last thing I wanted was to ruin this ride with a ticket!
Just me and my shawdow....
and then it was done, I was home, and the gear came off for the last time
It was so sad...and then I remember I needed some ingredients for making pizza tonight! So went out for another blast, got the groceries, topped up with ethanol free and rolled her into the garage.
Yep, sure enough, next day, look at that sky, yuck!
....and there it is, that damn white stuff....back into the car for the winter.
