      Great progress.

Once, back in 97, I ate a 54oz steak on a bet (buddy paid if I finished) and had bread and salad first. Never again.

But at Charleys in Orlando somewhere is a tiny brass plate with my name.

I will try and stop there on my way home to try the stout.

Not the best stout I've had, but definitely not the worst. It seemed to get more drinkable the more I had?? lol. For a 27 oz mug, it's $7. For $9, you get the liter grolsch bottle full and get to keep the bottle. Those bottles at my local home brewing store are $5 a piece, so it seemed a no-brainer... except for the fact that I now have to carry the thing for thousands of miles.. lol.

That guy trying to finish that big steak looks a little like Jeremy.

If Brent wasn't eating he would be smokin' that damn cigar.

How did you get Bob away from his new girlfriend? He must think you have something special goin' on.

I've actually got pics and stuff from yesterday, but the internet where we're at is pitiful. Dial-up would show it up.

We went from Amarillo, Texas and took our time. We're now sitting on a corner in Winslow, AZ... Such a fine sight to see. No girls in flatbed Fords though. Total mileage for the day was @ 560. Thinking of a few ways to fix my broken clutch cable. Open highways with no clutch is do-able. Cities like Vegas with no clutch? Ummm.. Not so much.

I did get this first one downloaded. We're scratching our heads and wondering why our gas mileage isn't up to what it normally is. There may be TWO kitchen sinks in there..

More to be added later if we get near some decent internet. After we get something rigged for my clutch, we're off to the meteor impact crater, then Vegas.

I can't believe you don't have an extra cable in all that crap you carry with you. You can tear down an engine, or drive train, on the side of the damn road but you don't have an extra clutch cable.

I have an extra clutch cable, throttle cable, and pickup coils in my stuff. Not to mention the extra hand levers.

Yeah, I've got extra stuff.. electrical, brushes for the alt, TCI, R/R unit, clutch handle, throttle cable, and normally a clutch cable. I was remembering a couple weeks back when the clutch cable broke on the red '81 while my son was riding it. That's where it went to, and my fault I forgot to order another. I just assumed it was still in my tank bag with the throttle cable when I was packing.

Oh... and forgot to add that when we got here, the vibration had caused a liter bottle of Virgin Islands rum to open up in my trunk bag. So everything was saturated with rum. When we got to the room, I put the stuff over the A/C unit to dry it out. I think I got Brent drunk from the fumes..

I was at that corner in Winslow last year and the town had a flatbed Ford with a girl in it parked right there by the sign.Although the girl happened to be a manequin.

Just rolled into Vegas and getting things into the room. Then it's out on the town somewhere for some food. Fixed the clutch this morning by getting a wire clamp at Napa. I'll show some pics. Not a bad thing to have in an emergency kit.
