Around the corner

Well we all ride around the corner and around the next bend dreaming of long vacations and lazy care free days but with each bill we pay makes it imposible....soo lets take a ride around my house and make the best of what I have......I like Ohio...have been around a bit but this IS HOME. So who am I...



As I ride my 1100 around these local roads the bike wants to keep going but I have to keep it in tow:-( I work as most of you schleps do to get by..but I am living the American dream.
Well I make my first stop at a new local park on the Great Miami River,ball fields,hiking,canoers glide past,great place..



Before you get into the park there is a monument to Fort Dunlap..

In the same area is an old cemetary who lived and founded this place I call home.....





We do have one other thing around here... lots of corn..:-)



Just up the road is and old spring which the horses would stop at and have a drink as they climbed the hill

So ya don't have to go far sometimes to have a good ride and see things.......will finish report later..hope ya liked it so far.

I love a good nieghborhood ride. I'm kinda partial to my local twisties over here on the East Side, though.

Ya I am from the east side,32 years in Madisonville till I moved to Dunlap in '86....you just brought back a flood of memories tho.We always had a lot of bikes at the Friches Mainliner in Fairfax every night,Swallens son showed up a bit...then Ault Park,Alms Park,Round Bottom Road,Stonelick/Perrintown covered bridge and then just up the road,a side road went thru the creek and had a pedestrian swinging bridge going across it. Stonlick,Cowen Lakes and riding on the roads before East Fork Lake was there.....
I get out that way once in awile now and jeeze.......soo built up,traffic,RT.32 is a nightmare..used to be a nice two lane country ride with a little bar and restaurant at the top of the just outside of Batavia...thanks for the getback and memories...might try and get over that way again soon

What else is close by..a local legend,is it true,does it really exist,people spend hours looking for this place,it is haunted,go there at midnight and you will see the blackest black you have ever seen,tiny people abound........but it no longer is........

This a nice area,we have lots of poker runs come by here and stop at these two bars....

This is a nice place a bit uppity but biker friendly......


This another favorite poker run stop,it is more old school,leans towards Harleys but all are welcome.



Just about a 1/2 mile away is this place....
