  • Alternative gauge possability

    Here's a cool looking set-up.
I can't get the direct link to work but go to here:
    www.customdynamics.com/motorcycle_lights.htm
Scroll to the bottom of the page and click on "Veypor motorcycle intelligence"
Supliment you gauges, replace them, or eliminate them using the 'heads-up display' on you helmet.
    Look intriguing.

That is way cool. It's a wonder how they hook something like that up and give you all that data. I like that HUD and with my FZ-1 never remember which gear I'm in. That would also be cool. As far as the timing speed and all that stuff it is cool but I am not concerned about my run on times or lap times. But it is way cool!!

Reading about it, it's attached to the battery (for power), a coil ot tach (for RPM), and a wheel (for speed). They say they have accelerometer(s) in the circut to gauge 'G'force of acceleration. Peramaters you set would determine info. Fuel capacity and MPG would be averaged-out with use. Horsepower and such is determined by mathematical formulas. I would guess if you have speed and RPM and weight and 'G'force then HP and/or torque couls be determined.
If I knew how it worked I'd make my own.
I've added it to my "wish list".
