    Best bet is to find a manual on e-bay for the correct float hight.

    Yes, it can be a cause of your problem. But alot of other thing can cause it also (leaky carb boots, pinholes or tears in the carb diaphrams, heavy floats, a binding throtle cable or just having the idle set to high).

    Check e-bay for the manual and search the forum for the rest.

        Geez... doesn't anybody work today!
        Pat... I've also had to replace Plastic Floats that have had holes in them. I've never seen SOLID plastic floats before. "Dey is usually hollow... like me 'ead."

          I wonder if the fuel line is (accidently) hooked to the bowl vent tube???????
