I no longer have my XS but I do still have an XJ, an FJ, and now the FJR.

      Thanks all for the compliments.
The bike is an "a" meaning standard shift and not all the cool electronic goodies. Gen3 FJRs started in 2013. They went to ride-by-wire and true cruise control standard. The ES models have Electronic Suspension.

Need to put some long miles on her to see if I like the seat (a seat upgrade is a popular farkle). These bikes are rockets!

      Ray,

Indeed let's get together and ride!

If it had been green, it would still be at the dealer.... All I need to do is add a little white paint here and there, put on an antenna, and it looks like a motor officer ride.

              haha... funny you say that,Ray!
I think it's a hoot how many people move outta the left lane to the right when they see me come up behind them!
Even more so, now that Tulsa has 6 new motorcycle cops on BMW RT's.

                Those C14's are purdy bikes.

Ray, do ya think the white paint and antenna will defer the idiots on highway 1?
Unfortunately we are not allowed to open carry....

Mike, It would take a brain to deter the idiots, one they don't have. But then it was an idiot in San Jose who rear ended my BMW....

Is that what "Oklahoma is OK" means?

                      Ray,

I know as I live in that mecca of the "brain trust".

Congrats on the "new to you" FJR. I bought my FJR January 2016. The stock seat caused me considerable leg pain cutting off circulation. I installed a Russell Day Long seat. It looks like a tractor seat. It feels "weird" but the leg pain is totally gone.

RDL, Laam and Mayer are the best custom seats. They all worked together early in their careers.

The FJR is scary powerful. The front wheel wants to come up off the ground under hard throttle.

I went moto camping last June for three days. A small group of us did a triangle route that included a full day on the Blue Ridge Parkway. I am hoping to repeat the experience this year. The FJR was more than up to the task.
