GREAT FIND !!!!! Don't let that little pocket rocket catch you off guard, once you hit the power band you need to aim by balance as the front wheel won't steer for you ! FUN FUN FUN !!!!!

Looking like maybe a '73 or something? Sorta like the days when a bike was a bike. Love these old scoots.

Can't believe how nice the cosmetics are.

So glad someone is providing some TLC.

Step away from the ring a ding. Give me your location and I will rid you of that polluting, gas swilling heartache. don't forget to drain/clean the oil tank. I had a RD200 for a long time. Very narrow power band but a hoot to drive. Nice find.

                Probably a '72

Check the head tube for the date but most likely it's a '72 because it doesn't have a disc front brake. It also has those huge turn signal lenses, not the much shorter pie type found on '73's and the screw on gas cap.

See about getting one of the body shops to get rid of that dent without disturbing the paint and you have a really pristine collector's item.

I've never seen one with that type of luggage rack before.

                  had a buddy back then

that had a Kawasaki 750 two stroke. Damn thing was nothing but raw power on two wheels. if you came off the clutch too quick you would be on your backside. The front wheel was hard to keep on the ground. The only problem with these types of bikes is that is all they ever were, raw power, with no balance. I didn't like to ride it because it felt so squirrely. Nice find and I hope you enjoy it.

Hmmm......memories of the two-stroke tripples. Both the Mach I (500) and Mach II(750) were a definite adrenaline rush,

You really got us stirred up with that bike ! Bet the head stamp date shows 74 but was sold as a 75. It would be worth the price of paint less dent removal. Nice how that oil in the gas (need to find out if it's set up for synthetic ?), keeps the pipes from rusting inside out ! I had a 75 350RD for a year it was set up for synthetic oil but I ran low in the middle of nowhere and had to buy a good 30wt.. I rode it to where I was headed on that 30wt. and then home about 400 mi. on the slab speed back then was 55mph. if I member right, NO PROBLEM.

                          1975

Yes its date stamped 1974 sold in 1975 and titled 1975
It is kick start only. Oil injection system. 2 carbs.
Pulling the tank tomorrow it is solid crud to the top and pulling the oil tank the oil looks like green slime. The lines are hard as a rock and the carbs are frozen. The good news it spins freely. Still has the original battery.

It's not very impressive by today's standards. Perhaps it was that rubber frame that was so exciting. 74 hp
