Good Lord those are stunning Marty An early 70s' XS650 was the street bike I learned to ride on...although it looked nothing like these fine examples here. Still rings back some cool memories1980 XS650G Special-Two

Nice to see the progression through the years with those three bikes. Subtle changes from year to year.
Beautiful.
Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for the pics
I was kinda looking for a XS650 after my Skoot melted down: then I found an other XS11 on Craigslist, 15 miles away for 600 bucks! I guess I'm just meant to have an XS11, but the XS650 sure is attractive for a bantam weight senior looking for a city bike. Thanks again for the photo's!
Special EdOld bikers never die, they're just out of sight!
My recently re-built, hopped up '79 Special caught fire and burned everything from the top of the engine up: gas tank, wiring, seat, & melted my windshield all over the front of the bike. Just bought a 1980 Special that has been non oped for 9 years. My Skoot will rise from the ashes and be re named "The Phoenix!"
I've been riding since 1959.
