    Well, I guess I get to stare at the thing in my shed for a while until she decides to either get another bike or motor. Besides the inside of the motor, the thing looks like it's been babied and honestly looks brand new still. She's never ridden before and this little Rebel was going to be her starter bike.

      if the barrels arent scored u mite be able
      to fix it on the cheap with a another head
      and piston, or are parts hard to come by for these?

        It doesn't look like it hurt the cylinders, but I worry about the lower end with all the metal bits that went 'round down there.. you know.. when it fell over.

        This gal is apparently loaded with money, so no telling what she's going to do. They have been making these bikes for a long time and there's a jillion of them out there. Shouldn't be too hard to find a motor, but it might not be much cheaper than buying a whole 'nuther bike.

              1979 XS1100SF "Old Man" bought by my Dad brand new in 79, customized in 80 with Vetter, Standard tank, and touring seat. I inherited in 02 when Dad passed. Been riding it since 09. No resto, bike is a survivor...

                Glad I could be of some use to this site, since I basically know Jack about these fine machines, only what I learned here from you fine folks (can't even trust the manuals!)
