    PIckup coils??

I am still working on the XJ650J and while turning the crankshaft with a wrench on the square nut to adjust valves, I must have hit the bottom magnetic coil (?) and broke it off.
It is the bottom black plastic square thing that has a magnetic tip through it. It came fastened to a magnetic plate that bolts to the main piece.
Can that black plastic be glued, epoxied, JB welded, etc. to the metal piece it came installed in?
Will it work if I can manage to fasten it securely to the little plate?
Or I am doomed to buy a whole reluctor(?) plate with the 2 of those black coils as I was told you can't buy them separately?
    Any ideas?
    Thanks in advance.

Hey Al, I don't know if you can repair it, but here's a set on Ebay, $20. The 81 and 82 have the same part #, HTH....

There are a few more if you feel like doing a search.

      Thanks Phil.

It's probably worth spending the $20 than fixing it and it not working or going bad later.
      Thanks for the tip.
