Any one have experience with the rebuild of these petcocks. I got a kit from George-fix and a K&L kit was delivered. Replaced all the rubber and the diaphragms. It still leaks like there is no restriction at all. Ive tried every thing I can think of but no success. Anyone know the secret?

hmmm ....
I have rebuilt one of those on my xs400 but I didn't have any problem with leaking.
Are you saying "leaking" meaning fuel is flowing unrestricted through the outlets of the petcock? Or leaking around the selector? My Stable:

Unrestricted flow. The seat looks smooth and it still passes air if I press on the diaphragm with my finger.wingnut

+1 on that. ....
Make sure that rubber gasket is seated properly and in the right. Then bend that odd shaped washer so that it provides a little more tension. My Stable:

Mine is almost exactly like an XS1100 standard petcock, and I believe from some other forums that the kits have the same problem as the 11 kits, in that it's too short and doesn't work with vacuum with the kit. Just like the standard petcocks if you fill the curved hole you can turn them into normal non-vacuum petcocks. When mine leaked I didn't get kits, I found some gas proof stuff to coat the old diaphram with and it works properly now. I don't remember what I used thought, and it's been a couple of years now since I did it, so CRS has really kicked in on it.Cy
