You should be able to get it cheap considering it probably has rust in wheel bearings as well as other corrosion from letting water get in.It looks like it's been sitting awhile, so you may want to see if the engine will spin.
It looks like a good candidate for resurrection though.
I'd offer $100 bucks and go from there.80 SG XS1100

I have a 79SF.
The 650's are a blast for an around town bike.
Parts for these seem to be easier to come by.
They also seem to fetch more on the resale end.
If its out there in the snow he probably doesn't appreciate it.
Which is good for you.

I'm guessing its not a daily rider wish I still had my 650 it was fun. that ones the same color as my 73.
