Picked up an 83 GL650 today

For $250 with Title, 10kmi on it, not running. All there except ignition switch and front signals. Been sitting a while, Has a few scratches on the tank, looks like it got banged around in the barn, broken signals were in the trunk, gonna definitely need new cables and a good carb clean.

Strip it and chop it. Those make the coolest V-twin choppers. IMO
Turning junk bikes into interesting treasures, on a very tight budget.

I know yours is the 650 but....
The beefiest of Hondaโ€™s middleweights was the CB550 Four. A smooth, capable machine based on the CB750 introduced in 1969, it was decidedly old-school and hardly the machine to entice a new generation of riders. Enter the Honda CX500.

    Enjoy!

These were the 'ladies' version of the Gold Wing, back in the day. They are known to go 100,000's of miles with proper care.
Nice day, if it doesn't rain...

Sold the GL650 this past weekend. Cleaned up and ran pretty good though.
On the lookout for another winter project...

congrats, looks like it cleaned up real nice. Still think you should have chopped it though.
