Ok, got the 750FD unit back together with a new oil seal, new O-ring, and the original crush collar. Applied RTV to the area needed under the extra washer, and using thread lock blue, tightened the nut up good 'n tight, my guess would be about 50 ft. lbs. Everything turns normal and seems ok. I'm not putting it on the bike right away, gonna use the lower geared FD for a while first. After I've tested it, I'll give a report. Reassembly went very smooth, just make sure to oil the seal and O-ring prior to installation.
