    help please

I know this is a lot off topic but I am trying to get my sons 1993 RM250 running.
He left gas in it when he stored it and I had to take the carb off and clean it up. After 3 kicks it cranked right up but it's pouring gas out the overflow. I took the float out before cleaning and i am afraid i may have messed up the level setting. Do any of you guys now the proper height for the float? I adjusted it a little and it's not pouring out the overflow now but it's not cranking now
    Thanks
    Mike
p.s. I tried the dirtbike forums first but they are as useless as can be.

    Other Bikes?

Probably trash in the needle and seat, or they are damaged.
Set the fuel level 1-3 MM below the gasket face.
Use a clear tube in the drain to check it.

          A suggestion...

You might get more hits on this if you put it in the correct forum. There is an "other bike discussion" forum.

No nip intended. Just a general observation. Rather than apologize for being off topic, why not just place the post in the correct area?

Are you saying that because of his description in "Location"? Because if you are, I would gather that according to the postion he has listed, he is located just West of Milwaukee. If you used an online tool to help find that location then West means (-) degrees. If you use positive degrees you end up somewhere in China.

I hope I made sense of this. If not then I'm way out in left field.
