I am currently working on an 84 XJ750 Seca I'm having a time with the carb rebuild. it seems that the mfg. has some needling that they don't want tampered with ( have to drill out the caps) but this thing needs to be cleaned up completely. My manual does not give me any help except take it to the dealer who does not want to mess with it because you can't just hang a part and get it out the door. So Is there any where I can turn to for info about the setting after I remove it and clean it and reinstall it? Bob

Are you talking about the caps over the Idle mixture screws? If so just drill a little hole through them and pop the out. Inside is the normal idle adjustment needle assembly.

I have that much, What happens when in unscrew these little buggers and clean out the passages. What is the setting when I put them back in?

One to one and a half turns out from just lightly seated is some where near right. With the bike idling adjust till the RPM's peak, then turn in just a tad to put it on the rich side.

              Success Success

To oldbiker thanks for the website. The Guys over there were very helpful. The bike is running as good as new. I would not have known about the XJ forum had you not mentioned it. Thanks again.
