Actually- that particular snowfall sucked, big time- wet and heavy- nothing Pow about it- I build a half pipe for the kids in the back yard every year, depending on snowfall. We all hit the slopes pretty hard, trying to knock down 20k+ vertical feet in an evening of night skiing-boarding.

My four year old and 7 year old have serious skillz in this department- and I cultivate it every winter!

But I knew for sure my boy was totally mine the first time I saw him put his bicycle (with training wheels ) on his sled and ride it down the half pipe, and didn't fall!

Ah- it is a stretch to call it a half pipe- it is so dependent on snow fall anyway- but it was 8 foot high on each side this year- and both kids were working it hard this year!

The swing set monkey bars are right at 8 foot high- and it has a matching side just behind where I took this pic:

This was early in the season- got all the way over the top of the swing set monkey bars (I built those to develope thier little upper bodies- my girl can do 10 pullups at any time, she makes me look 4-5 times a day when she does it)

Sometimes, I have to share bikes with the little fella though, all the while, I wear all the gear, all the time:

Scale- I am over 6' tall! Daughter going for a run:

I have a bike shop- I get to ride about every bike I have ever dreamed about, as customers GREATLY over-estimate my ability- which is fine I suppose- but today I have at least three people with new sport bikes telling me "you have GOT to ride my new bike to make sure everything is okay- I can't ride it as fast as you - can you take it to girdwood and back for me and tell me what you think (40miles each way)"- to which I reply, in slow, measured tones, without trying to wiggle like a puppy that needs to pee, "Um, sure, give me the keys"
            You lucky dog you.....

I rode a Sabre 750 and loved it. Great bike. Wanted an 1100 model. Friend had a Magna 1100 years back and it was a very fast bike. That RC51 is a great bike, too. Very powerful. Heck, we're all jealous of you now.

I just got a V-Max so I'm not looking at Sabres or Magnas anymore. One thing is for sure, though, you just have to love the glorious exhaust note of a V-4.

Taking your Sabre out in the dirt reminds me of when I owned an XS650. I took it on quite a few dirt roads!
