  • Motorcycle in Indy IV?

Has anyone seen the pics of the motorcycle that "Mutt" rides in Indiana Jones IV? What kind of bike is this?

Hard to say, if you've seen one V-twin, you've seen 'um all

It certainly isnt any bike from the 1940's (since this movie is set in that period).
It's hard to tell but i agree that with those tall cylinders it could be a Victory. Looks like they modified the front forks to make it look like an older bike thou.

          I agree with 81xs... a v-twin is a v-twin is a v-twin etc.

it wouldn't be a vincent would it? fake or otherwise, I've only seen one, & Idon't remeber it all that well. it was @ the AMA vintage bike days last july @ mid ohio raceway. I might remember it better but there were more old old bikes there than you could shake a stick at....might be why they call it "Vintage" bike days....hmmmn.

The closest thing to that would be the D series "Rapide" Vincents...

That may the look they are going for, or more likely an olde Harley look, but didnt quite make it either way. Although most ppl will not know the diff.

Here is a slightly better picture of presumably the same bike for any of you that know you stuff. It is still a little too grainy to make out the markings on the tank:

Well, the primary drive looks very harley, I do have one question though, if this is supposed to be set in the 1940's, why does the bike appear to have a belt drive like a modern harley - davidson? if I am mistaken and it is a chain drive then oops, or if there were cogged belt drive motorcycles in the 40's then oops. but it does make one wonder...hmmn. oh well, I guess it's not nice to make fun of loopholes in the screenplay.

I think it IS an EVO motor, and DISK BRAKES!! I guess we shouldn't look that close, it IS a movie, after all.

I just went to the Victory site and looked at some of the models, and the bike in the pic sure does look like a Victory. Look at the V on the gas tank emblem.

I'm pretty sure its harley. It looks like an '07 Twin Cam Softail Springer with some vintage parts bolted on. If you look here it looks like they even bolted a kicker to the frame. The oil puddle under it in the first pic screams harley as well.

                            Hi Guys,

On the pics posted by DP Laramee, I can certainly read the tank logo clearly, along with the script on several other parts...... It's an H-D!

                              Ha, disk brakes. good catch.
I guess its easier to find old cars to use in a movie than it is old bikes.
