THATS AWESOME!!!!!
I have a 79 xs400 and i wanted to do something similar to it. I was just wondering about how much this project cost??"Imagination is more important than knowledge. Knowledge is limited; imagination encircles the world." -Albert Einstein

Well, it depends. If you don't know anybody that can fabricate or know how to fabricate yourself, then it could be costly to get the work done. A friend and I did the frame work on the bike and I did the rest. It's still a work in progress but so far the tally has only reached about $200 in all. The Sportster tank was the most expensive peice at $60 used. The Sportster mufflers I picked up for $30/pair. I painted the bike myself with rattle cans so not much money there. You should be able to do it relatively cheap. I'd like to see some pics of your 79 if you have some.

Unfortunately, I don't have the originals. They were in pretty bad shape as it was. Some dings and holes etc. If you want you can e-mail me the pictures of your bike. E-mail me here.
