Last week I got a little dizzy before heading to work. By the time I got to work I was very dizzy. An hour later I was dizzier still. I hear phantom sounds in my left ear (like a million crickets chirping) along with intermittent 'rushing' sound.
Fortunately I work at a hospital. I wobbled to ER and was immediately admitted.
Dr's initial diagnosis is Mineres Syndrome, also called Lybrynthitis or Vertigo.
It's now a week later and things are no better.
I've seen 2 Dr's now and they both say the same thing as with everything I've read on-line.
No know cause, no known cure. It's an infection of the fluid of the inner ear, viral in this case.
It may last 5 minutes, 5 months, 5 years. Could last the rest of my life and if it goes away may come back anytime.
I've been driving the truck for a few days and rode the bike yesterday and today. It wasn't enjoyable.
For now I'll just wait and see what happens. Nothing has stopped the dizzieness and the crickets won't quiet down.

What medicines IF ANY have they prescribed for you?? A common prescription is MECLIZINE, similar to Dramamine, but with less side effects like drowsiness!!!
I didn't know there was an Erectile Dysfunction Department where you work??
Guess that's why the stoagie, eh! They're no substitute for Vitamin "V"!
Really not trying to make light of your situation Pat. I know it's probably worse than what you can explain or describe on here. Good luck and keep us informed. Why couldn't stuff like this happen in the winter when you aren't riding anyway??? That Murphy guy SUCKS!!! (Murphy's Law)
