      Neil Pert?

Havent paid any attention to who that is, and dont care.

I pick up what I play from alittle bit of everything I listen to, but mostly what I come up with on my own.

Right now I'm playing with two bands and fill in at church when regular drummer is out.

You're a drummer and never heard of Neil Peart?????

Surely you jest! He's the patron saint of drummers.

He's the drummer for Rush, and arguably the best drummer ever.

They compete with Zeppelin as the best band ever...at least in the contest raging in my head.

          Hey Parr8head!

Some may be interested to know (especially Parr8head) that my old Charlatans bandmate Dan Hicks has a duet with Jimmy Buffett on one of his Dan Hicks & the Hot Licks CDs, Willie Nelson also makes an appearance. CD is titled Selected Shorts. http://www.danhicks.net/Selected%20Shorts.htm Dan calls his girl singers the Lickettes. I appear on his live at the Warfield CD/DVD set, recorded/filmed 4 years ago on his 60th birthday.

My acoustic duo, the Claim Jumpers, had the distinct honor and pleasure to open for Dan & the Hot Licks (featuring the Lickettes!) up in Virginia City, NV a couple years back. We have a new CD entitled Strangers On The Stage. The CD package is really deluxe with an 8 page booklet. If anyone's interested in a copy send me a PM. A couple of sample tunes can be downloaded at http://www.savefile.com/files.php?fid=4025988 and the title track http://www.savefile.com/files.php?fid=2302753

            JW,

Not a big name person, granted he is a good drummer, but was never a big Rush fan.

But thanks for the heads up.

and keep the shiney side up.
