Just thinking about Burt Munro sends tingles down my spine. 73 years old when he broke the speed record on a bike he built in a shed in late 60's and no one has done better yet........what a genius of a man

Just finally saw it on rental DVD this weekend, never hit any of the theaters near us. Very inspring movie, even brought a tear to the fiance's eyes. Definately will be buying it soon.

            Better late than never

I just saw the movie on cable. Loved the man's passion.

The writers might have a sense of humour though, early in the movie, Burt tells the young boy about his brother who was killed when a tree his father was cutting down fell on him.

Did you catch Burt's brother's name? Ernie!

If his brother really was called Ernie I apologise to the family but if not, it was a clever bit of comic writing within a sad tale of loss.

              WFI

If you see the DVD you should try and see the interviews with Burt himself. You will then see what a great job Anthony Hopkins did.
Still chokes me up when I watch the movie, so much achieved with nothing but knowledge and guts.

It is indeed a very good movie and I watch it often on the movies on demand channel. Very well done as compared TO "wild hogs" which was OK but not a movie I would even see twice.
