Riding in January in Maine and not freezing ones keester is a rare event. Was in the high 40's, sunny and dry. Was working on my new MRV ( motorcycle recovery vehicle), a 98 Dodge Ram 4X4 I got cheap cause it needed a lot of basic maintanence. Was out in the mud freeing up the front brake calipers and heard several bikes going up the hill.
The weather was supposed to deteriorate by the time I got done, so just put it out of my mind. Got done and it got cloudy and gusty, so thought, ok thats it. Went inside, and came back out after awhile and it was nice again. Decided I'd better do it now or regret not riding when I had the chance for the next couple of months.
Got the bike out the garage, pushed the starter button and on the second engine revolution it fired right up. Only went several miles, but it was great.
Still can't get over how great the bike fits, like putting on a comfortable pair of shoes.
Well back to hibernation for couple or more months. And yes I did see my shadow.
