I just put up a ported cyl head and a chain conversion kit on eBay. I'll soon put up a complete gasket set, S.S. engine bolts, MSD MCII ignition w/ coils and Weisco 1196 pistons w/rods and a new head gasket (needs rings though)

Hey, Kelly, are you getting out of racing, or have you moved on to something bigger, better, faster? Haven't heard much from you lately....Ken Talbot -

I am curious, is there a reason that no one seems interested in the P&P head? I thought that was supposed to yield huge gains in HP. Is the cost close to the cost of having it done?
He said his bike was pulling 9 sec 1/4's, WOW.'81 XS1100 SH

Don't know. maybe if I left it complete, it would be different.
yes 9.80's in normally aspirated chain driven form with 38mm flat slides and cammed. a little quicker in turbo form.
already gone, but had a MRE lockup clutch, that lil addition added 6 MPH to the top end of the track.'80LG "Frankencycle"Comment

being incomplete doesn't seem like a big deal though. If I had the cash I would be all over it. Then I would just drop all my hardware in and some '78 cams if I found some.'81 XS1100 SH
