Music literally IS my life...from messing around with my Magnus Chord Organ as a kindergartener, to my first saxophone in 7th grade, to now a career as a high school and beginning band director for the last 14 years. I still play often with local jazz groups on saxophone and at church a couple times a month on bass. I'd love to find a classic rock cover band to play in...but between the job and the family, the time just isn't there. In fact, the job got in the way of an incredible weather day today...had to take kids to Salina for All-State Band auditions.
I would love to play some music with you, I play Yamaha drums in a band that started out of our church, I also fill in for the drummer that does the song service when he plays keyboard/vocals.
xs650mike,,,,, Have you ever heard of the band BrickFeather? They used to play at a Biker bar on fremont Blvd alot. They also put a few gigs on at hellyard park ( spelling sucks )

Can't say I have, they may not have been contemporary with Loose Gravel ('69-'76) and we never played very much in the East Bay anyway, mostly Frisco and Marin.
Shiny side up,

We're so back there that this band from Manchester ripped off our name, thought no one would notice. Our lawyer sent them a nice letter, wishing them great success, etc. etc. When they come to this side of the pond they call themselves Charlatans UK.

Drummer, professionally for 3 years, while in high school, hooked up with band members from marching band, after school......lead guitarist needed a drummer in his already-established kick ass rock group, and I was in, thought I would tour with the Stones, but nonetheless, I did get some incredible regional work, one day lead guitarist comes to practice, and says his mom told him he has to go to College now, and the band ended that day!! most of the equipment was his!!! Great Stories!!! miss playing badly, I get a jam every once in a while, but I suck now!!!! need tons of practice...............I once spent a summer I think circa 75, playing with Dave Perritt and Rod Price from FOGHAT, as they had a tour in fall, and the other members were still in Europe..........just filled in, but that was cool........met them at the local post office
