Hello all,
After lurking around here for a week Ive decided to join up and say hi.
I just recently aquired a 78 xs1100 from a guy i work with. He was the original owner. He is very picky with his stuff and takes care of it all. This bike is MINT. Other than the fact it hasnt been on the road for a couple years. carbs are gunked up from the old gas in her, brakes dont seem to want to let go of the rotors, and all the fluids need to be changed. the tires are new, exhaust is mint. I have the original owners manual in the original plastic bag it came in. I got her for free as long as i can make her run.Ive been a auto tech for 20+ years, so it shouldnt be hard to fix her up. Ive already ordered a clymers for her. Sorry for the long post, I'll be around asking lotsa ?'s. Hope to talk to ya all.......Thanks,,,,Dmint

Chances are good that you won't need any parts. Just spray carb cleaner and a compressed air source. Not advisable to "dip" the carb bodies as there are seals around the throttle shafts that could be damaged by the cleaner.
