There are a few of us midnight special fans here. Always glad to welcome one more. I don't remember where, but somewhere I saw a site that did keep a register of VIN's to keep track of how many are still left. I wish we had that list here on this site. Feel free to post a picture of your MNS whenever you get a chance.

i already tried. there is no real number to it since yamaha just went on in the production to issue vin numbers as they rolled off the line without specific model issued vin. you can have #396 and the next one is #567.
i tried to get answers from yamaha but there was no respond.
the story goes that every dealer got a certain amount of MS but there is actually no real accounted number. it might be a possibility that they are getting very rare.
if someon has better information,,... please share

Welcome to you and your MS.

I too recently joined xs11.club having acquired a 1981 XS1100 MS last month. The site is great, I have not posted any questions as yet, however have searched on issues that I encountered, and resolved.

Grow up emo boi, he's just looking to weed out the posers and spammers. If you've been riding and wrenching as long as you claim to have them you might remember what it was like to have at least normal levels of testosterone, maybe that's where the "ex-free" comes into play, I dunno.

Excuse me. I've been on this forum for about 20 years. The reaction was unexpected. Try this.

We like pictures. It's as simple as that. There's no need for you to prove anything.
