I "might" be interested in it if the price doesn't skyrocket (which I have a feeling it will.) My ebay name is "ak_mac"

you know what would be great
is using that carb with the manifold
without the turbo
think of it just 1 carb to adjust
does anybody know the size of a carb like that
i would like to try to build a manifold for 1 carb and try it
but to get the correct size carb, to start the project would be greathttp://home.securespeed.us/~xswilly/

Turbo, 1196cc big-bore kit, replace the turbo carb with an FI throttle body, chain drive conversion, port and polish the head....
or just buy a Vmax (then add a big bore kit, turbo, ........ )Pat Kelly

Hey XSWIlly,
Hopefully my calculations are correct:
1100cc = ~67 cu inches.
2 rpm's for complete combustion cycle, needed for 1100cc,
so 1/2 max 8.5K rpm = 4,250 rpm.
4,250 x 67 = 284,750 cu in/minute divided by 1728 cu in/cubic foot
equals 165 cubic feet per minute/CFM.
Checking the Holley site, about the lowest sized 2 barrel carbs are around 300-350 CFM. So...I would think that would be the size to use, or smaller even IF you can find it. Many of the smaller 4 cylinder car engines seemed to be around the 1500cc range. I don't know what model/brand vehicle had around the 1100 to 1200 sized range!?!?
Just found that a carb for a '79 Honda Civic 1.2L is listed in their remanufactured list!?

Stay away from MY turbo kit!!!
Just kidding. I'd bid on it up to $790, but I can't afford it. Rajay is a good turbo...they use quality components and they're known for longevity. It looks like a well engineered kit. Anyone interested should use a sniper or have very good timing to get it. Don't bid early...it'll just make the other interested people increase thier max bid.
I completely agree with the comment above about getting a Vmax. I'd have one today (in addition to my XJ, of course) if I could find one cheap enough that wasn't ragged out.
My $0.02.

Winterhawk, I had one of those back in '83. The dealer put the 12 PSI kit into it once I had 2500 miles on it. The front end would come up about 1.5 seconds after full throttle.
Turbo lag was bad, bike didn't handle that well, but was it ever fun!!

Yah you will see it on my bike...hopefully it doesn't go too high. I bid first with a low proxy to get the ball rolling. Ebay is kind of like playing eucher. Just trying to fish the big cards out right away. lol Then you'll see my name at the end. Don't worry I'll take pictures.
Of course if it gets stupidly high then I see no need. From what I have seen a turbo wouldn't be too hard to set up. Although I like this as a kit. After all I believe laziness is a sign of ingenuity."If it weren't for a budget I'd be bored."
