choke levers - to all of you who said choke levers were like freakin' hens teeth to get for our XS 1100s- here is your chance to get them made! I have secured a Russian manufacturer, and have sent a couple swing arms off to be made, some rods, and off this site, choke levers seem to be the most desired/needed part that no one makes-

here is the deal- I need one to copy! Whoever sends me one first, I will give the new one to for shipping only, I don't know if the old one will survive the reverse engineering.

I am a regular on www.kzrider.com and http://www.v4hondabbs.com/ if you wish to confirm if I am "for real" or not,

please e-mail me at wldthing67@hotmail.com if you want a rare or hard to find METAL part made- and I will need the part soon- first reverse engineering and manufacturing next week!

Time to have choke levers made for everyone- and you will not believe how cheap they will be- think cheaper than chinese and as high quality as you can think of- these are the guys that make rocket ship components for the Russian space program!

Are you getting any XS1100 rods built? I may have a choke lever to send soon. I should have a "spare" set of carbs Thursday night. If you can send off later, I could have some XS1100 standard parts if you need some.

If killer rods you want- I can have them made- right now, I have V65 Honda rods going over, I need two within spec rods, and we will be remaking them in steel, lighter than stock, and good to 300hp.

If you want to send me the rods, I will send you a set made back AT COST- which should be dirt cheap, possibly less than replacement rods here in the US, it is only shipping I have to worry about in my costs-

      e-mail me at wldthing67@hotmail.com

I will give you my mailing address there!

I could send a choke lever but it has the upright tab broken off like most do. Otherwise it's like new! Let me know!

Ya, I will take one that has the factory defect or whatever it is that makes them like hens teeth- as long as someone can provide me a photo as well of what a perfect one is supposed to look like- if everything else is there, they can reverse engineer the part to scale if they have one in thier hand!

Post when you get em done. I would like one. I would send you mine as a copy but I kinda need it as I ride year round. More actually in the winter then in summer. I love the looks I get at a stop light in a blizzard. Then I show up at their house the next day to fix their cable and they recognize me. Kinda cool the reaction.

Okay- you guys have the honor of having the first part going over to be made LOL- I have determined the choke lever, due to it's size, and relatively cheap material, is the easiest piece to test for shipping and quality control.

Okay- how many units do you think I should have made on the first run? What is a reasonable cost you guys think I should charge- a price between "highway robbery" and " I can make that cheaper myself"- I will give board members special deal BTW- I give my word it will be cheaper than what I ask for them on E-bay! be reasonable here LOL

Very important question I need fairly quick response to please! I need to know type of metal, gauge of type of metal, and what kind of coating, or no coating you want on it. If it has some kind of factory plating you guys want to see, I need to know ASAP

                    Hey Cruising Ram,

Mine are about 2.5mm thick, but even at that thickness, the metal seems to too easily bend, hence, breaking off, so a little thicker would probably be okay. ALso, they are chromed, but it might be easier to have made out of polished stainless??

As for the quantity, probably 10 or 20. Price..... I would think $20.00 or less would be nice!?

If they were 2.5mm thick and stainless, wouldn't they be stronger? Fitment might be better if we stay with stock thickness? Perhaps?

I would buy 3 - and down the road maybe 2 more...

                        I've had 14 e-mails asking for them...
If everyone chimes in that wants one you'll bet a better idea how many are needed. I've seen about 2 dozen XS11s, but only ONE Special and only TWO Standards with an unbroken choke lever.

I did notice a Kawi 1000 Police bike the other day with very similar carbs and it had a choke KNOB that was pulled out, instead of the lever - with winter coming on I may go with that if a lever doesn't "happen" soon (my gloves are too thick to pull what's left of the lever mechanism...)

                          Ron;
I have one good standard choke lever left. If you want that on your machine, let me know. It does NOT have the rubber tip, but it will work.

Well, I can see a demand for them I guess LOL-

I am hoping to have this product by summer- that is my realistic goal for the first run of the first parts- which, the choke lever is job #1. I have specified them to be made of stainless steel at this point.

And, at this point, I have no hard word on a for sure "we can do this" nature- it is still speculation, and will be speculation, until I recieve the first part in my hot little hands!

And Ray- as soon as the lever and parts you sent me hits my door- they are off to Russia- seriously, I am sending them Fed EX to Russia- 120 bucks to garuntee them in under 2 weeks LOL
