I have been looking at different threads within this site for the last couple of hours. I am amazed at the breadth and depth of the knowledge about not only XS11s and XJ11s, but also motorcycles and motorcycling in general. AMAZING!
I happened to buy an XJ1100 Maxim.
I saw it sitting on the front corner in a gas station lot in the middle of nowhere, Tennessee. It was a Yamaha Maxim 1100. That meant nothing to me except that it was a larger bike, I could commute my 45-minute – one way – commute and save a bunch of money on gas (My F-150 GETS 15 – 16 mpg), and, fixing it up would be a fun project. Yep… 1st Motorcycle. (Honda CT-70 when a kid/teen, mountain bike racing 30 years later.)
What a thrill to get into this type of group. Buying the bike was the extra!
I have posted other stuff, but I felt I needed to effuse singularly about my enjoyment in learning from, conversing with, and perhaps someday, riding with all of you fine folk.
