Thomfromglarus....Yea I'm the guy who waits til the end and swipes it.(sometimes for more than I should) Don't worry though. Looking at the pile of boxes in the computer room I think I could build another bike, so I think I'm done. Still looking though. Just stocking up for winter.

"My name is ibpdew and I am a sniper"! As previously noted, there seems to be more snipers buying xs11 parts I noticed too. Had to become one. I've spend many late nights waiting for an auction to end. I just HAVE to be there! Then I can't sleep well because of the adrenal rush whether I won or lost. I agree, its a sickness.

trbig here.... trbig there. With high speed internet, I am an avid bid sniper. I won't bid until the last 5-10 seconds or so. Many times I am outbid by someone simply having a higher max than me. I figure what I am willing to pay, and that's it. If I bid my max, and am outbid... I bid no more.

I have no imagination... I go by remccool on ebay.... As far as bidding, IF I REALLY want it, I'll get it, there will some be a 12 step program for this I'm sure. I have paid some pretty outragous prices (a set of carbs for my 78xs for $300.00) etc. . Now that I have found a few more places to get things, (like local salvage yards) my ebay spending has dropped dramatically. The price is about the same, but I get the parts a lot faster and (though expensive) gas is still cheaper than shipping in most cases..

I go by wrxjuggernaut on e-bay, that was the name I ended up with after trying about twenty other ones.

I got so tired of being out bid at the last second on things that I only watch an item and I won't bid on it until it gets down to the last few hours or last few minutes.

OK, Well i scaned user names on here so far,Don't think i got sniped by any one on the list yet! Since i was primarily looking on e-bay for bike parts i went with yam.k.r.fan1. Any old school members might recognize the k.r. (Kenny Roberts) I was fortunate enough to start wrenching in a shop that was very much into racing! Seen the man dominate Daytona,Loudon,Pocono, etc. Just wish the dirt track program would have been better.(couldn't keep up with those dam Harley's) I to have been the victim of snipping, NO more with DSL i will wait it out! (not so easy sometimes!!)

I remember watching Kenny Roberts race in the Astrodome in the old Camel Series MX races back in the mid 70's , he was impressive! Then we would all try to ride like him, we didn't succeed, but we sure tried!...

Yea, I even had the privilege of sitting at the same table for lobster dinner up at Loudon, N.H. back in '78. All though i'm sure he didn't notice. I managed to get in some ameture road & flat track racing until mid '80s, when the funds ran out & priorities changed.(i.e.- family) Recently fired up the ol racing bug again, only on four wheels insted, kart racing. Here we go again,$$$$$$$. Four years running points at local oval dirt, managed track champ in '05. Time to ween it back again, ridin' the 11 midnight!!!!
