USN OCS 64/65 Commissioned 4/65
Damage Control School - Philadelphia (Oh those cheese steaks)
65 - 66 USS Charles S. Sperry DD697 Newport, Rhode Island - ASW Ops and the late South East Asian Unpleasantness
66 - 67 USS Tidewater AD-31 Norfolk, VA - Shipyard in Baltimore, REFTRA in Gitmo, and a special sojourn during the '67 Mediterranean Dustup
67 - 69 Your friendly Naval Recruiter in Pittsburgh, PA.
Shoulda stayed but career pattern was screwed up by Viet Nam buildup and slowdown.
Spent some time in Radioactive Reserves - Two weeks in old duty station because my replacement hadn't shown yet, two weeks at the Naval War College, two weeks on a tin can that couldn't get out of town in San Francisco. Lost my paid billet and got out in '75 just prior to move to the West Coast. I donated my blues to the Navy Relief.
