    It seems to me that may be a lot of us who are former or active duty Military. I myself was in the Navy from 77-81, on the carrier Kitty Hawk. and NAS Bruswick Me. Which branch were you in, when, and where were you stationed?

      Navy, Since 76 with a yaer and 1/2 off in 79-80. Been in Submarines the Whole time (Skipjack, Trout, Scamp, Rickover, John Marshall, Dallas, Providence, Miami, and Providence again) I was a Company Commander at Boot Camp in Orlando from 90-93)
      Going to retire soon maybe next summer or next winter or in the summer of 07. Still undecided. Currently the boat is in the shipyard at Portsmouth NH/Kittery Me.

          Portsmouth Naval Hosp, Va. 84-86, OUT! Still here!
          Just ran into a fellow Corpsman I worked with in Va., he's retired now, finished his 20, I could have stayed in, but didn't fit on the ships too well at 6'6" tall! I was fortunate to have missed all of the conflicts as well.

              besides serving my country and learning a vocation I owe something else I learned in the military - honor, character, integrity, responsibility, respect, comradity and love of God and Country. Without these qualities I hold dear my life wouldn't be as 'full' as it has been.

                I guess I am the first Army to reply.

                1985 - 1988 Stationed at Fort Campbell, KY
                Boot at Fort Jackson, CS
                Electronics training at Fort Stewart, GA

                All service was stateside.
                Owned by a pair of XS11's. An 80 Standard and a 79 Special.

                          Air Force 74/78 Basic Lackland AFB late summer (Hot) Parachute Rigger / Fabric & Rubber tech School Chanute AFB Il. all thru winter (Cold), pemanent party duty station Blytheville AFB AR. (Boring, Hot & Cold) 60 miles from anywhere. B52 Bombers, KC135 Tankers.
                          Houston TX, Texas Air National Guard 78/80 F101 Fighters. I don't think they liked me to be comfortable. But I'm still in Houston. It's got great riding weather except for our 4 day winter.
                          Lucky enough to miss all conflicts.
                          There's always a way, figure it out.
