    Speaking of Hite, anyone remember Bob Hite ?
    That's a trivia question for us old-timers. Also on-topic for 7min. album cuts.

      I am sorry but I just had to correct one from macnut xj;
      "Don McLean: The Day the Music Died" is Don McLean "American Pie"

      One of the greatest songs in my life. I just had to make sure it was correct.

        I love the Allman Brothers' "Mountain Jam" which originally spanned two LP sides and timed in at over 33 minutes! (Hey, I think my Bic lighter just ran out...damn.)

          The Outlaws..."Green Grass and High Tides"

          Meatloaf..."Anything for Love"

          I'll second (or third) Don Mclean

          Mansfred Man...."Blinded by the Light" or "Might Quinn"

                    Seeing all these great old titles really takes me back. I know there are so many more that we are omitting. It's not that fact that there are so many to chose from, it's just that we aren't able to remember them all. So many dead brain cells from the 70's and 80's. It's all a smokey haze, no make that a Purple Haze.
                    It was said here a while ago...If it wasn't for flashbacks, I'd have no memories at all.

                      I sure wish I could answer this question. I've got over 400 cassette tapes and a bunch of 8 tracks. The LP's went when I got rid of the turn table. I like em all. From the Allman Bro's to ZZ-Top.

                        New old vinyl

                        I just purchased some used LP's this morning. They are: ELP's first. The self titled one. Grand Funk Railroad's "On Time", Creedence Clearwater Revivial's "The Concert", and Steve Howe's ( Yes's guitarist) "Beginnings". I've been looking for that one for a long time. They are all about thirty year old titles, and scratch free. It's amazing how well some people took care of their albums.
                        Aybody got a copy of Chris Squire's (Yes's bass player) "The Fish" they'd be willing to part with?
