Wow, I've spent a lot of money on this bike! Looks good to me though. I plan on giving this bike to one of my Son's. When they grow up. I get a lot of compliments from Harley riders believe it or not. Only wish I could somehow touch up the frame, it shows some age, little scratches and stuff like that. Would like to strip it and get it powder coated.

Well. I see alot of creativity here. I also see alot of pride, endurance, workmanship, and mainly, the will to stay dedicated to an old girl that can teach a new girl a thing or two.

Got my 80SG for nothin in Dec. 03, 23k miles and add 1k in past 9mo. Dad gave it to me. Put about $200 in carb boots, clutch cable, and getting road legal. Excellent condition except for the dent in the tank. I consider it a reminder to keep me inline. Dad laid it over in turn of raming a car's bumper.
Too much I would like to put into it, not enough in the pocket book to fund it.

$900 for '79sf. R.I.P.
$900 for '81H. 35k at purchase. Lost left side cover in first week of riding [non-fatal laydown at gravel infested intersection in the middle of the night]. That's gonna cost me. P/O had carbs rebuilt and cam chain replaced prior to 2 years' dry storage. Not happy with the tires [Continentals]; still got one riding season left in them. Rode the GS750 2 blocks to my neighbor's house to pick it up .Drove it home and walked back to retrieve the GS. SCORE!!!!

My Bikes

78 with 45k paid $511.99 Had carbs cleaned and runs like a rocket. Came with drag bars and 4 into 1.
81 Special POS 35k removed from under a bridge pillar in New Jersey paid $536.00 still has problem with running like it should. Have plowed in $500 but think it is worth saving. Help!
80 Special Paid $1800. 8500 miles needs nothing but a young rider.
