I think we should pass the word around the Whole Internet that No One should wave to No One while riding. It is just not safe for some riders to take 1 hand off the bars (you know who you are!). Keep BOTH hands on the bars as much as possible for the safety of yourself and others!
I crashed my XS11 Thur night going 45 MPH, BUT I had both hands on the HANDLEBARS. If I was waving to somebody when the front end went out from under me, I would probably be DEAD on a Farm Fence post. What I am trying to say is that "I am too Sore to Wave" - so don't be offended.
I put a pencil eraser size dent in my 3 year old perfect paintjob, and destroyed my handlebars. I never got hurt at all and the bike took minimum damage in the crash. I hurt my backl left leg, and left thumb before I got it up the 3 foot Steep Hill to get it back on the road. When I stopped moving after the crash, I was still on the bike, hands and feet! I flipped it back over on me to the left trying to get her back on the road. Now, once again, I have factory Special Handlebars on my bike - which sucks to no End.
The Sunday ride is at 9:00 AM tomorrow, And Sore or Not - I Will be there!
