      Something.....Anything?

      Well, this winter I have:

      • Fixed the oil galley plug leak and the sticky shift linkage on the XS11SF.
      • Fixed the leaky master cylinder on one of the XS750SF's
      • Rebuilt a leaking clutch slave on the Vmax
      • Just finishing the frame swap on the V-65.

      ______________________________

On deck is new fork seals on the Vmax, along with new tires and bearing service.

      No problems to kibitz about.........

Well Ben, bikeless with a lot of time seems real similar to life support.

Lol, so does winter. I’m here a lot though I haven’t said much. I rebuilt some petcocks and a fuel octopus and got my fuel sending until around....cleaned, sanded and polished to a state that I’m sure they didn’t look that good 40 years ago. Still collecting parts for my sf and hibernating in the shop. We’ve got some welding to do and some seat finding, and brake light finding to do and I can finish the rear end up. I’ve ended up changing my mind again from a total custom build to a sorta stock custom .....and I’m thinking I’ll go back to my standard and redo that custom when I’m done with the sf. Things are happening at my house. My boy just brought home an old Cummins turbo diesel that he’s going to strip to the frame and rebuild. I think he inherited some of my sickness, but he’s always looking for results now! Lol I think he’ll need about 30 years until he starts polishing every part, or maybe that’s not a “truck thing”. Anyway, he’s up to 3 trucks, a Jeep and his Honda a dirt bike and the xs850. He’s a way better mechanic than I’ll ever be with seemingly no fear of any project.

Maybe when the new member option gets up and running things will pick up.

Another new site started in order to replace the nearly dead triples.org. yamahaxs.com has forums for four and two cylinder bikes. It also appears that it won't take flight as there has been no activity for some time. XJBikes and XS650.com still appear lively. Those forums have more bells & whistles than this one.

I've been going to these places pushing www.vintageyamaharally.com If the growth of the rally continues, it may become dominated by the XS650.

Not many posts on this site. May be because people are unable to connect. Site has definitely gone down hill.

I hate to say it, because when I do, I probably won't be able to log in again but, I get in no problem.
I enter my user and password, log in. get the page that say I can't log in, hit the refresh and here I am...

The Triples site http://www.yamaha-triples.org/ has been flickering on and off for several months. Currently it has been inaccessible for a couple of weeks. New new users have not been enabled for a couple of years. Feels like the end is near (or here).

The site http://yamahaxs.com/ got started, but seems like it fizzled. I can't get it to let me log in or reset my password. I think the creator was Jeremy from Monroe Michigan? Seems like he moved on to something else?

I'll be sure to stoke the rally on https://www.vmaxforum.net/. There is also another Vmax site http://www.starvmax.com/, but it seems more into second generation, with fewer vintage candidates.

Interesting. I've had no problems at all. I hit xs11.com and I'm in. No different than 10 years ago.

Yeah, I don’t have any problem logging in at all, even with my phone. There just seems to be a lack of new members.....or members at all.....always plenty of guests listed..?? I was thinking the well of xs11’s was drying up until I got on Facebook marketplace and saw that there were still plenty around and even at nice prices!

I dont have a log in problem either..basically because I close out but do not Log out...this site is bookmarked on my desktop and the phone is too but in a diffewrent way..but both will get me on here without the need to "log in".. 'Nuff said...
I find it strange to solicit for $ to upgrade the site then nothing has happened since...I thought it was being worked on??? I see TC on FB the other day but he hasnt been on here in 2 months???
I'm sure theres a perfectly good explanation and BTW I am not accusing anyone of anything..just questioning and wondering aloud?
I too am on the XS650 sites and they seem to be a bit more busy than this site...people are only going to be interested in joining here for so long..I'm sure some have already resigned to the fact that they may never get to join..
How did we get to this point???
