The fender should end up pretty much like that, but this time I’d like it not to be so obvious that I cut the frame. My thoughts on all that seem to be changing daily....,I’ll keep working on everything else until I’m really thinking I like an idea.

Garrett, how 'bout a rear fender from the XV 920 ?

They are tapered, a little thinner in width, which makes the tire look bigger and have less holes to worry about.

Looks like three holes, just like the 80 special. But a little thinner may be nice. Good thought......I always have to pound it into the frame while I’m figuring things out. That one in the link looks pretty clean. They may be easier to find.!?

Too bad you didn't have a large Rolling Rock sign. You could have placed it in the window in place of the Steelers banner.
Overall, nice looking shop for the space you have. And I won't say what bottom feeding team I root for. I just hope that one day they will get a real owner again.

Would that be the Raiders? Cuz they looked pretty good last week....

And that’s only one corner of the shop....the good looking one. Lol
I’ve got space for 4 bikes and my tools and what used to be two ten foot walk-in coolers for my parts. And plenty of Steelers stuff if you want to barrow some until your team comes around.

No, the 49ers..... But then I've been to games at Kezar, Candlestick and Levi stadiums, with my dad and grandfather at the first two.
Once I sell my Kawasaki Concours I'll have room in my one car garage to start work on the '78.

                          Just me

You can, if you like use a cut off wheel on a dremel and cut that idle mix tower down to make it level again (get rid of that fracture). Fact, if you want do all of the towers the same so they are uniform ? Note don't cut the tops off the idle mix screws ! Cut it with the carbs upside down to avoid getting the dust down in the towers. Give yourself a little extra materiel and finish with small fine files.
Your not putting the plugs back in anyway ?

Well, merry new year, haven’t posted much but I’ve done some things, Ranger XS1100 hooked me up with some very serviceable parts that I’ve detailed and got looking pretty sharp.
Pipes, fender, tac, and ignition. Got my air box, exhaust holders, headers, ignition, idiot box,and tac in. I’m still looking for a 120,140 or 160 speedo if any are laying around out there.
I’ve been rethinking the seat thing. I just don’t like that Harley seat. I think I may grab a 883 square front seat solo seat, but for now I’m gonna work on putting an old Corbin on that Harley pan..I’m sure I won’t be happy with it but I’ll give it a try....for another option anyway . My buddy’s bike always had that old Corbin double shovel seat on it. I loved it but hated that passenger section....so I cut it off and joined it with the Harley rear section and the pan...not having any luck recovering the rear or even if I’ll like it when it’s done but we’ll see. My boy will be welding my new mufflers on and putting my “hoop” on the frame soon!
