Looks like this LG is going to be next on the list to be restored. Have not done one of this model yet. Not totally familiar with the linked brake system. Will just have to cross that bridge when I get to it.

that looks like an 80LG not an 81LH. There is no linked brake system.

Like I said: I really don't know much about the linked brake system. Looks like now that I don't need to know. Thanks for the steer. It is an LG. Was under the impression that both year Midnights had the linked brakes.

Thanks. It is a runner, but needs a little TLC. Low mileage bike.

                    Wow, Mike!

Somehow, you keep finding the nice ones for restoration ...

Can't wait to see this LG after you've massaged it and put your mark on it!

Thanks guys. Hope to begin project next month.

Paint is good. Mostly needs mechanical attention - rebuilding of carbs, brake upgrades, etc.

The Midnight exhaust has always baffled me as to the best way to clean/restore them. I believe they are originally finished in black chrome. Don't know if anyone does that anymore. I have used black ceramic coating. It does very well and looks good too. But not the same as black chrome.
