Thanks guys. Hope to begin project next month.
Paint is good. Mostly needs mechanical attention - rebuilding of carbs, brake upgrades, etc.
The Midnight exhaust has always baffled me as to the best way to clean/restore them. I believe they are originally finished in black chrome. Don't know if anyone does that anymore. I have used black ceramic coating. It does very well and looks good too. But not the same as black chrome.1981 XS1100H Venturer
