This is a useful article on an update issue with Asus main boards running windows 7. Seems Microsoft has found a way of forcing you to go to Windows 10. Basically a change in an auto update will stop you from booting and they knew about it before the change was made. If you have a main board with Asus bios and have Windows 7 software read this.

It likes to do that every few days or so after it's been left running and repeatedly closed/put in standby/sleep, and then reawakened. Just goes to show how UNSTABLE the earlier OS's were/ARE.

if you have the top end windows and you deploy data encryption that is a good recommended system update for all users. Usually those things are patch fixes for specific programs or features
