Well, if you covert them, it's a different story. Ya think? Still, the range is terrible. I went to XS East 2007 with my daughter on the Special. The trip was 3000 miles. We had a blast! I love my Special. There are much better touring bikes out there.

Yes tank range does suck...still my 79F isnt getting that much better tank range...and compared to the 350 mile range of my ST1100 everything else pales in comparison..

Hey Ben except for a few dumb arses like me most sensible people want to stop every 100 miles anyway
Remember I went to Key West on my XJ650 and it would only go 100 miles on a tank too.

The real thing anyone bidding should ask themselves is how much work did the humpty dumpty shop do on it. still looks good.
To fix the problem one should not make more assumptions than the minimum needed.

I own a Buell Blast, which is technically a Harley according to the title. My in-laws own a practically new 2010 and when they have tried to get it serviced, as expected, the Harley shops really don't want anything to do with it. They had to go to a few before they found one that would.

I'm surprised they didn't give a discount, for what I assume to be a trade-in, just to get the owner to take their XS11 back home with them.

                      Special

Pictures reveal that it will take considerable work cosmetically to get her looking nice. Appears to have spent some time being left outside and maybe been over on the left side. Can only guess about the mechanicals.

May take $1000+ to restore to near original glory.

It has 19 bids and sets at $707; do you think there will be any last minute biding?

Gotta agree with you Phil. When I was screaming across the country from Idaho to New York on the LG I bought at 85mph and 5500+ rpm I couldn't WAIT for the fuel light to come on!! Was getting about 125 miles with a Vetter package like that Special has before the light would come on.
