This thread is meandering a bit, but hey, I started it. Related to waves and such, in 1966 or so, I got a mini-bile with a bad engine, so I ordered one from Sears, installed a cut-off bicycle handlebar for an exhaust, and took off down our alley. Well, on that very first ride, there was a city policeman following me down the alley, and he nailed me. Still hooked on 2 wheels to this day.

Yeah, so, try not to take it personally. It's universal and they hate everyone = equally.

No hate involved, just an act of defiance to tyranny.

I found myself changing to the down vs up when I stared to ride behind a fairing.
So now mostly down but ALWAYS 4 fingers for 4 cylinders
I also miss the occasional rider who has passed before I can wave so I figure to give the others the benefit of the doubt and assume they waved behind me.

lol.....this time of year out this direction, if you waved, it would be continiously, and the left controls side would feel neglected.

For me it is the 18 wheelers who (on a 2 lane highway with wide shoulders) pull over to allow me to pass. While it is a nice gesture, I get hammered by all the fine sand and rock that has been spread over the winter months. I guess maybe they think I do not have the power to pass em or something.
