        Haha!
I can see how that might happen, but hasn't happened to me...yet.
        (Probably will now, though! Lol.)

        Thanks for that, Brant.

I'll bite. In addition to many of the peeves stated already that I share (especially the two-lane in each direction with pokey and pokey two driving side by side) here's a couple more.

Being behind wannabe tough guy on his 800lb HD monstrosity and watching his several failed attempts at passing an RV going ten under the speed limit. Satisfaction-blowing by him AND the RV by downshifting to fourth and half throttling the XS. Nothing like toasting the latest 20k investment banker hardass with a 35 year old bike at partial effort.

Also, Goldwings. I love Goldwing riders, they're usually great cyclists and super cool. Just hate those ridiculously large motorcycles. They're just weird.
          1990 Ninja ZX-10. It's the Silver Surfer. HI-YA!!

2006 Yamaha XT-225. Yep, I take it on the interstate. It's Blue Butt.

1982 Toyota 4x4. 22R Cammed, 38/38, 2" pipe, 20R head with OS valves, performance grind and other fun stuff. It's Blue RASPberry.

1969 Ford F-250 Camper Special resto project. 390 RV cam, Demon carb, Sanderson headers, 2 and a quarter pipes with Magnaflow mufflers. It's Blue Jay.

            Thought of more.

Even though I openly dislike obscenely large bikes I would totally try riding one for the experience. Hell, I've ridden a RUPP and 49cc Vespa scooters. I don't like scooters either, but I wave to them and probably will ride one again. I also have no inner dislike for people who ride them. I just don't like huge bikes or scooters. Anyway, enough of a disclaimer.

The inner-caste system of the RV sporting world is a huge pet-peeve. I don't like Prius's, but it isn't an excuse to be a dick to people who own or drive them. Same thing goes for types and brands of bikes. Letting personal tastes affect the way a person is treated is pretty lame. Isn't that something we're supposed to get over before the end of our teen years? I see that all the time in the biking world. It's immature and really stupid. I still laugh when I see a Vespa swarm, but if one of them asked me to ride with them I'd totally do it, laughing at myself the whole time. Why not? I've thought about getting a bunch of hardcore biker gear with spikes and HD logos and cruising around the local biker spots on a bright-pink Vespa. In Seattle that'd just be a normal weekday and it would send signals I wouldn't want to send. Might be fun in Spokane though.

The other one that gets me is when a quad-owner calls it a 'bike.' Other than being incorrect by two wheels, it just sounds like something a dork would say. Nothing against quads, I'll be riding them next month on a ranch in Montana, but they are not bikes. Not by any stretch of the imagination.

I ride with some guys that have open pipes. When next to them at a stop, you really have to use feel to get out of the gate because I can't hear my bike engage. I've stalled a time....or 2

Not a pet peeve here-- just a 'peeve' related waving question. Many of us are 50 and 60- something year olds. Well, back in the day ( in N. MI, anyway), we waved regular style: sort of a raised wave, like you would do if walking down the street and waved to someone you knew. Nowadays, the wave is a dropped hand down, casual, cool-guy wave. Just wondering when the style changed.

I use the hand down simply because I ride behind my Vetter. Also as a rider and even more an XS11 rider, the hand down is a bit of conformity in my non-conformist world.

                              Waveing

Years ago, it would bother me when “Brand Snobs” wouldn’t return my wave. Today I take the approach that even if I don’t get a reply, others and especially cagers can see the solidarity among us. Plus I can snicker thinking maybe I upset the poor “Brand Snob” at my taking such liberty.

Scooters. There are an increasing number of scooter riders about. Scooters, in some cases, are the gateway to a new rider and they are great on fuel, I get it. For some this may be the only transportation they can afford to get around to work, the store, to meet with friends what ever. I’ve noticed most riders will ignore scooters. Not a real motorcycle? It is the two wheel adventure that excites and I wave.
