No stranger to long distance riding (been awhile), but let's hear what you guys are packing? The advantage you guys will have over me is the trunk and bags. I'm not putting them on for either ride this year, so everything will be in my camping backpack. I have a pretty good list of stuff I'll take, but maybe something you mention will be a good idea also.
Gear:
Clothes
Rain gear
Small tool roll (including extra wire, soldering gun)
small first-aid kit
fuses
clutch/throttle cable
engine oil
tire patch kit
small air compressor (?)
GPS
Cell phone charger
Powerbank cellphone charger
Fuel Canteen
Lighter
Camelback water pack
baby wipes

. A 12v air compressor would be good but it will drain you battery in a hurry if you don't run the engine while using it. A small LED flashlight would be a good addition to your kit. Its tough to figure out what to pack when you have limited space. I rely on intense inspection of the bike before a trip and the overall reliability of the XS. I blew a cam plug out on one of the MOM events. Something I would never have carried as a spare. But, it was the MOM and one of the members had a set. My ace in the hole is my AAA card.
