Well, if the Kat shows up, the party will be ON, mofos! I had decided not to do it anymore, but I'm flexible.

The R1 caliper mod came out rather well until I found out how much product liability insurance I would need to be able to sell them. There's a good reason why this kind of stuff is mostly made overseas. There's no way to sue them if there's a problem...

Great idea, Tony! The plans for the new garage look awesome. I'll be there on Friday and Sunday afternoon. Saturdays in September are still work days...but the guys might like to sample Highway 22, Little Nestucka, Tillamook Farmers Market, then a round up Miami-Foley and 53 to 26, back out to 101, over Cape Lookout and Cape Kiwanda then back to Willie on Saturday. It'd be a little over 200 awe-inspiring miles.
A thundering herd of XS11 muscle would be a sobering sight to the wannabe tribe that inhabits local roads on weekends.

It might just be the 2 of us... I'll have the lift set up outside so we can put your bike up on it if you want to do anything to it.

Two irregularities are showing up now and then. 1) the headlight relay is slow kicking in, and 2) a couple of cylenders drop out. I let it idle for a second, rev it a couple times, and we're good again. Happens in the dry as well as wet conditions. I replaced plug wires about 10 years ago. May be time for some different coils, or there's a wire problem.

Yesterday I rode the north portion of the loop I suggested. What a hoot. On Father's Day weekend, I met 4 cars running south from 26 on 53 to Moler, then south on the Miami-Foley road to 101. Tighter than 22, fun ride.

Hey the 2 cylinders dropping out might be the broken wire thing coming from the vacuum advance.

                    can't make it

This year, but next year if the timing is right, I'm all over it! Going to run North America on the E with a Pacifico. Plan to hit Andreas, Crazy Steve and TopCat for sure and hit every rally in between. Need a knee replacement before though.

I may have spoken too soon anyway. I still don't have the building permits for the new workshop/garage. I'll be lucky to start construction by the 15th...

I plan to make it an annual event if it takes off...

Wishing you well, Tony. My garage is now open if needed. Plenty of bike parking space here too, plus room for tents in the front yard, lots of camping near by, and the coast is cool.
