Just curious with the price of gas dropping the way it has lately...

What is everyone paying now? Especially interested in what y'all are paying on the other side of the pond.

It's been hanging around $1.70/ gallon here lately. (I actually paid $1.08/ gallon last week with a special our grocery store had )

Most stations in Raleigh are around the 1.90's...out my way the lowest I've paid was $1.99...its been over 6 years since prices were this low. My ethanol free gas station is @ $2.50 for regular...it had been as high as $3.75 at one time...gotta love it..I dont mind paying more for ethanol free...

thats what my brother says...but things I've read from the Saudis' say that there will never be $100 a barrel ever again...the whole idea is to keep us or anyone else from becoming less dependant on foreign oil...so I personally think this will stick around alot longer than you think...YMMV

It's taking some getting used to. I had to pre-pay one time, and not knowing how much it would take, I walked in and gave them my card and said, "Just put $30 on the pump for me". I had a 1/4 tank of gas.. and could only get @ $22 worth in at the pump, so had to go back in for a refund.

I put 4.3 gals in the bike yesterday and it was just over $7. It's got me itching for a long ride...

While a little difficult to relate exactly due to different currency and volume I have experienced the same here in Ontario.
From a low a few days ago of 85 cents to to-days 92 cents per litre.
3.78 litre = 1 US Gallon and the exchange rate is 1.27 to buy US $
if anyone is ambitious to work it out.

Not exact but 1.00 (Canadian dollar per litre) =

2.97373243 U.S. dollars per US gallon. So your pretty much the same as the rest of the region.

Saudi Arabia is still producing oil out the ying yang, opec doesn't like that. It only costs them about 6 bucks a barrel to produce.Stick a straw in the ground and you have a well.I read it costs us about 56-60 a barrel for oil.Thousands might be layed off here from what I read.
Gas has dropped but it is only one product from oil.Plastic is based on petroleum. They are
now making plastic based on a corn base in Columbus OH.
                          Demand is down world wide.
Why doesn't the cost of a qt of oil come down?
Anybody use diesel, doesn't look like the price came down much compared to gas and that is what powers our trucks and trains.
                          What a rant.

Yeah, it'd be nice if you could get some barrels and stock up on the stuff, but it goes bad so fast now.

Makes that offshore run easier to swallow right now! $300 v/s $700 last year.

I use a 100gal tank to haul it to the gulf coast for the boat. Only 1 place on the water near me and that's if they have any. Most times it's $1.50-$2.00/gallon more. And always have some in there when needed around the house.
