      "Early Spring"?

My repairs/upgrades during the winter help to keep my enthusiasm going, and I have more time without lawn care, gardens etc.

I am guessing your garage is not heated? Kerosene heater are better than nothing (I installed a natural gas heater).

Insulated, not heated. But, I'm in no rush to get my list done. I know most of the list is a one-day event.

          Hi Ian,
Not too fast we have to get through the DEAD of winter first.

            Check List

I have a handy Spring tune Up checklist I made up several years ago. It is in PDF format so most any computer can open and print.

It goes through every group and system on the bike in a logical order (logical for me anyways ) A few items are specific for my machine. For instance, adjusting the cam timing and setting the carb floats to 1mm (I have slotted cam sprockets and ZRX carbs) but those lines can be skipped.

Anyone interested, send me a PM with your email and I will gladly send you a copy. Keep your old copies and they become a great maintenance record for your machine.

Once you un-can a can of worms, the only way to re-can them is with a bigger can.

I have a TON of bikes Dean, including modern sport bikes. My Hayabusa has been on a few LD trips quite comfortably. I guess it's wants over needs. Next bike purchase will be a newer bike for a bargain price. With the next set of mods, I'll be content for another riding season on a great bike that I know like the back of my hand.

Cancel those plans! Just broke my side cover in-half due to the cold. Going back home to pout.

ANY heater in the garage would be a help at this point, wouldn't it? I think I would HAVE to put in a heater if I lived back there, as I spend a LOT of time "tinkering".

I was geared-up to pull the parts and transport them to a shop to work. A simple pull on the side cover snapped it. I guess I will not attempt anymore disassembly till the temps become more stable.

Good call Ian. Too damn cold to even contemplate being in my garage.
